This classically styled chronograph is by far one of the nicest chronograph watches I’ve seen for this price point. The Invicta Speedway Chronograph model 9211 offers itself up to be a bold accessory to any business or casual attire. When this watch original arrived, in the typical bright yellow Invicta box, I was unquestionably excessively affected emotionally to take this thing out and commence playing with it. I don’t commonly mention packaging on this blog but this watch was shipped in a very nice, well constructed box, equated to other (may I mention more expensive) watches have come in less quality packaging. Anyways, back to the chronograph. One of the most beautiful features of this watch is it is white dial background with black-outlined sub dials, bright Tritnite hands and little minute indexes. For those of you who don’t know, Tritnite is a luminous material with extended glowing properties which was altogether invented by Invicta in Switzerland to be added to their timepiece hands and markers. According to Invicta, when exposed to regular daylight, Tritnite will glow for approximately 20 hours. I wouldn’t inevitably consider this a knockoff but it unquestionably looks a lot like a Tag Heuer Aquaracer or Rolex Submariner, just with a fraction of the price tag . Surprisingly, this watch gets more compliments than some of my more pricey chronograph watches.

The three stylish chronograph sub dials on this watch measure time within intervals of 1/60 of a second and are competent of up to 30 minutes of elapsed time. Like other chronograph watches it possesses the start, stop, and reset functions. The round silver stainless steel watch case is regarding 1.7 inches with very nicely engraved units per hour markings on the bezel. This chronograph is a nicely designed, anti-reflective solid homogeneous inorgani substance crystal which appears to be of higher quality than a great deal of other watches. There is date function at the 4 o’clock position which is also another nice added touch. It is, of course, water immune up to 660 feet. Now, I know it has Japanese guts, but so does Citizen, Seiko and a lot of other well valued chronograph manufacturers. Trust me, with it is design and functionality, your friends and family will think you expended over $500 dollars on this watch. If you are looking for a nice, sturdy, chronograph with the style to match up, head to head, with a heap of of the more costly chronograph watches out there, this Invicta is the watch for you.

Great looks, great quality

Pros:
*Accurate. Haven’t had to adjust it since I set it 6 months ago.
*Excellent quality. At this price, the quality and finish are very good. Haven’t really tested the water resistance.
*Black Ion Finish. I am really surprised at how well the black ion finish has held up after 6 months. I thought for sure it would be really dinged and scratch up by now. Rubbing against metal doors and desk, it’s held up well. You can see the dings up close, but the black finish is still intact. Haven’t yet tested concrete, as I’m sure it would get gouged, but hopefully I won’t have to.

Cons:
*Chronograph fun to watch, but don’t use much
*No perpetual calendar

Overall, I’m very happy with the watch, and am surprised at how well the black finish as held up. Great looking timepiece.

Awesome watch!

This is a great watch with good size (big watches are “in”), excellent build quality and nearly perfect time keeping. I haven’t lost a second against the atomic clock since I set it a week ago. My automatic self-winding Baume & Mercier loses about 5 seconds per day for comparison.

The Seiko SNDA65 looks a little like an IWC Top Gun, but also has a fast moving chronograph sub-second hand that behaves like a tiny Tag Heuer Mikrograph that makes one revolution per second. I love how resetting the chronograph makes all the hands quickly spin clockwise back to a vertical position. The sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position looks like another clock so I’m guessing the chrono can time up to 12 hours. Sorry, I did not RTFM.

The strap is actually pretty nice considering it’s made of backpack strap stuff and it fits well on me along with the big case, even though I have small wrists.The luminous markings and hands stay glowing dimly for hours as I woke up at 3am and was surprised to see them in the dark. The small second hand for the time is in a sub-dial at the 9 o’clock position and “ticks” once per second as it is a quartz after all. Although some of the hands don’t quite line up all the time, it’s not bad, especially at this price range.

My favorite things about this watch are the 1/20 second chronograph accuracy, even though I will rarely use it, the perfect timekeeping, its durable, all-weather ruggedness, and its casual utilitarian, military good looks.

Love this watch! It’s accurate to the second. I set it to the atomic clock two weeks ago and it’s still bang on the mark. Other nice features include great Seiko lume and a highly legible face, so it’s easy to read in the dark or daylight. The chrono feature has a split feature that enables you to time the difference between two events. This is a high value watch for the money. I’d give it five stars if not for two things: the stock strap is pretty flimsy and looks crummy (but that’s easily fixed), and the chrono only counts up to 12 hours (could have easily been 24 hours).
