Waterproofing is one of the six distinct elements to a watch you want to consider. Almost each watch for sale will be waterproof or water resistant. These two words mean dissimilar things, so knowing the divergence is imperative. Water immune distinctively refers to a watch that may get mildly wet once in a while. It may say the watch is immune up to a sure depth. However, it is not like a waterproof dive watch. Waterproofing is meant specifically for vessels and watches which are meant to withstand more time beneath water. Comfort have a tendancy to be the most crucial element in a watch. You want to make sure the watch face and wrist band are the right fit. It is important to undertake a potpourri of dissimilar straps to determine which one does not pinch your skin. Move your wrist and arm around to totally test the comfort.

With a casual watch you are most likely going to find one that is battery operated as opposed to automatic. The battery will keep the watch on time until the battery begins to die. You will still have a choice amidst digital and analog, which is likewise just a preference.

Style is where you need to think in regards to getting the proper watch. Most casual watches may still have style depending on what functions you require with the watch. It is more important to like the watch face than the wrist band. Wrist bands may be changed if they are not the right style or uncomfortable. However, the watch face is what you are buying; therefore, you need to find the one you prefer.

Casual watches tend to be lower in cost. Many buyers want a sport style watch that offers the time and may include a timer. Others go for an analog watch with a simple and casual face. What is most crucial in choosing your casual watch is making sure it performs the necessary functions for your budget. Since it needs to be understated you also want it to fit with your regular costume rather than something like an evening dress to make it casual.

The Casio StoryWith the launch of it is original watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just came across digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field convinced that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.

In developing it is own wristwatches Casio started out with the basic question, “”What is a wristwatch?”" Rather than merely making a digital version of the conventional mechanical watch, we thought that the idealisti wristwatch will have to be something that shows all facets of time in a consistent way. Based on this, Casio was capable to give rise to a watch that displayed the precise time including the second, minute, hour, day, and month — not to mention a.m. or p.m., and the day of the week. It was the initial watch in the world with a digital automatic calendar function that eradicated the need to reset the calendar due the variation in month length. Rather than using a conventional watch face and hands, a digital liquid crystal display was adopted to better show all the information. This culminated in the 1974 launch of the CASIOTRON, the world’s basi digital watch with automatic calendar. The CASIOTRON won acclaim as a groundbreaking product that represented a finish departure from the conventional wristwatch.

Casio transformed the conception of the watch — from a mere timepiece to an selective information device for the wrist — and undertook product planning based on this modern idea. We produced not only time functions such as global time zone watches, but also other radical new functions using Casio’s own digital technology, including calculator and dictionary functions, as well as a phonebook feature based on memory technology, and even a thermometer function using a built-in sensor. The memory-function watches became our DATA BANK product series, while the sensor watches formulated into two distinguishable Casio product lines of today: the Pathfinder series displaying altitude, atmospheric pressure, and compass readings.

In 1983, Casio launched the shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch. This product shattered the notion that a watch is a fragile piece of jewelry that needs to be handled with care, and was the result of Casio engineers taking on the challenge of creating the world’s toughest watch. Using a triple-protection design for the parts, module, and case, the G-SHOCK offered a radical new type of watch that was unaffected by strong impacts or shaking. Its practicality was without delay recognized, and it is distinctive look, which embodied it is functionality, became wildly popular, resulting in explosive sales in the early 1990s. The G-SHOCK soon adopted respective new sensors, solar-powered radio-controlled engineering (described below), and new materials for even better durability. By always employing the latest technology, and continuing to transcend traditionalisti thinking regarding the watch, the G-SHOCK brand has become Casio’s flagship timepiece product.

Today, Casio is focusing it is attempts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery does away with the aggravation of replacing batteries, and the radio-controlled function means users never have to reset the time. In particular, the radio-controlled function represents a revolution in time-keeping technology similar to the affect devised when mechanical watches gave way to quartz technology. Through the further development of high radio-wave sensitivity, miniaturization, and bettered energy efficiency, Casio proceeds to create a whole range of radio-controlled models.

5nice watch for low price
By C. Chisholm
I ordered this watch because I needed a second hand watch for nursing school. All the watches I own cost well over 200 dollars and I did not want to risk ruining any of my watches during clinicals at school. This watch serves it’s purpose and, the only downside is the band, it’s made out of some plastic like material, but I purchased a leather band for 5 bucks at a yard saleband I still came out with a cheap sturdy watch.

5Beach Watch
By J. Easton
This is a great little “beach/pool” watch for anyone who doesn’t spend a lot of time submerged in water. It’s easy to read and so lightweight you hardly know you’re wearing it. I’ve bought 3 of these watches, two to give as gifts!
